Cookie policy

Last updated: July 2026

This policy explains what cookies and similar technologies this website (www.booomtag.com) uses. In short: we use one optional category, analytics (Google Analytics), and it only runs after you accept it in the cookie banner. We do not use advertising, profiling or cross-site tracking cookies.

1. Analytics cookies (optional, consent-based)

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors use this site: which pages and sections are viewed, which buttons are clicked and whether the demo form is completed. When you accept, Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (names starting with _ga) that assign your browser a random identifier so repeat visits can be recognised. We do not use this data to identify you personally, and we do not use advertising cookies of any kind.

2. Consent Mode and what happens if you decline

We use Google Consent Mode v2 with every consent signal denied by default. Analytics cookies are only set after you click Accept in the banner. If you decline, or simply ignore the banner, no analytics cookies are placed; Google may then receive short cookieless pings that cannot be linked to you, which Google uses for aggregate modelling only. Advertising-related consent (ad storage, ad user data, ad personalisation) is always denied on this site.

3. Changing your choice

Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage (a key named booomtag-consent) so we do not have to ask on every visit. You can change it at any time via the Cookie preferences link in the footer, which reopens the banner. Withdrawing consent stops new analytics measurement immediately; already-set _ga cookies can be removed through your browser settings.

4. Functional storage

We keep one small functional preference in your browser's local storage: your chosen region or market (a key named booomtag-region). It stays on your device, is first-party, is never used to identify or track you, and simply lets the site remember your selection between visits. Functional storage like this does not require consent.

5. Strictly necessary cookies

Our hosting provider may set a small number of strictly necessary technical cookies that are required to serve the site securely and reliably, for example for load balancing or security. These do not track you across sites and are exempt from consent because the site cannot function safely without them.

6. Embedded content and fonts

Some images and videos are loaded from our own content system (cms.booomtag.com), from Cloudflare Stream (video) and, for a few images, from Unsplash. To display this content, those providers receive your IP address, which is unavoidable for any embedded media, but we do not place tracking cookies through them. Our fonts are self-hosted and served from this site, so no request is made to Google Fonts.

7. Managing cookies and stored data

You can clear or block cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings. Clearing this site's data removes the saved region preference and your cookie choice; the site will default to a region again and the banner will reappear. Blocking strictly necessary technical cookies may affect how the site loads.
